Belize is a great family and couples’ destination. In addition to the popular day tours around Placencia, many of our guests like to explore the high country in Western Belize around Cayo near the border with Guatemala. While the southern Mayan ruins are appealing for their intimacy, Caracol and Xunantunich are more spectacular. Guests rave about their visit to Actun Tunichil Mucknal Cave (ATM Cave) where remains of Mayan artifacts provide a graphic understanding of their ancient rituals. One excellent way to explore Belize is to spend split time between Placencia and Cayo.
