PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course

The PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course will train you as an EFR Instructor, offering layperson care in;

  • Primary Care/CPR
  • Secondary Care/First Aid
  • Primary & Secondary Care for Infants and Children
  • Use of ‘Automated External Defibrillators’ for Adults

This course is available to both non-divers and divers, and if you don't have any CPR/1st aid training we can offer that prior to running the Instructor course for you. We offer this program as part of our scuba diving internships here in Belize, and as stand alone programs.

This 2-day course trains you to conduct and certify divers in the Emergency First Response program and ‘Care for Children’ program. The course teaches you how to conduct both primary and secondary care options including oxygen providing and ‘automated external defibrillator’ orientation including first aid for children and is an asset for anyone who works with infants and children. This rating is an essential credential for every dive Instructor in order to independently certify Rescue Divers and meet prerequisites other PADI professional levels of training. PADI Divemasters and Assistant Instructors are also able to undergo EFR Instructor training and independently issue EFR certifications.
