Placencia’s Sidewalk Art & Music Festival

It is that time of year once more where Belize’s peninsula becomes  adorned with the most creative and intuitive artists to hit the smallest main street in the world. On February 13th  and 14th  witness and share in the uniqueness of a multi-cultural historic village.  Certainly the music, the colors, and the aroma coming from the booths along the sidewalk will capture your attention. The Sidewalk Art Festivals calls on artists, poets, painters, artisans, jewelers, chefs, grill masters to come together and display their talent.

Placencia’s Sidewalk Art & Music Festival  began in 2003 and since then has been a success year after year. The Belize Tourism Industry Association Placencia Chapter along with sponsorships from other tourism sectors has greatly contributed to the success of the festival.  The festival has since then grown and continue to attract artists from all over the country. If you are planning to attend this year’s Placencia Sidewalk Art and Music Festival be sure to look out for the popular local booths displaying:

  • local paintings
  • wood carvings
  • local handmade jewelry
  • blown glass
  • hand-woven baskets
  • handmade arts and crafts from local schools
  • ethnic clothing and bags

While you are serenaded by our very own local musicians

On February 13th and 14th Placencia’s Peninsula narrowest main street will come alive!
